Spiritual Formation

At First Alliance, we believe that genuine spiritual formation is the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives to continually shape us into the image of Jesus Christ. This begins with a deepening intimacy with God and an overflowing sense of compassion for others.

We cooperate with this work of the Holy Spirit through practices (disciplines, prayer, meditation on God’s word and worship) that make us more open and responsive to the voice of God. We also embrace our role in the Holy Spirit’s plan to restore the Body of Christ to its true place as a witness of Christ’s love and work in a broken and hurting world.
