What is "forum"?

forum: a medium for open discussion and expression

by participating in a forum…

you will have an opportunity to grow and to interact with some of the guiding principles of FAC, that we embrace. Here are two of the principles that will be put into practice through this venue:

• Empowerment: You will be empowered to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ by actively spending time in Scripture and conversation with Him about what you are reading and discovering.
• Family: Participating in group discussion, by sharing with the Body of Christ what you are learning, experiencing, and have questions about from the passages of Scripture we are reading through together.

Please note: there will be no formal leader or facilitator at these venues, as each of us who attend will take on these roles when we share and participate in discussion together. These venues are meant to push us out into not only receiving but learning how to give to one another through our own personal walks with Christ. The growth you experience will be the result of how much you are willing to give and to receive during these times.

1.  Be sure to bring your Bible!

2. Check the Scripture readings for the upcoming forum posted under “read&feed”. Along with the passages of Scripture, there will be Q2P’s (Questions to Ponder) for you use as a resource as you read.

to keep in mind…

as you work through the passage consider the following ideas:

• Put down on paper the thoughts and questions that come to you.
• Mark verses you have questions about or that stand out to you.
• Read the passages in 2 different versions of the Bible. You can access different versions on-line at www.biblegateway.com

COMPASS Sessions

WHAT?

A COMPASS Session is a two-hour window where we will wrestle with what it means to live out our guiding mission, our core values, and how to organize ourselves for that which God is calling us to. There are three key activities that will take place during this time: prayer, conversation, and questions. This will not be a teaching time or Bible Study, as there will be other venues formed to embody those elements.
